Participants will view these techniques in place on the shop floor and will hear the "lessons learned" from the site's leadership team.\n\n\n\nToyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing (TIEM) is the leading manufacturer of Lift Trucks in North America. It was selected by IndustryWeek magazine as one of the 10 Best Plants in North America in 2011. At this plant\, see the Lean principles applied in a complex machining and assembly environment. \n\n\n\nThe Columbus\, Indiana facility has been driving quality and product improvements utilizing the Toyota Production System since the plant was installed in 1990. These initiatives have been reinforced throughout the leadership at the facility\, resulting in improved product quality and customer satisfaction. TIEM is certified to the ISO 14001 standard and has been recognized for its environmental achievements.
