Whether you are a beginner or an experienced lean practitioner\, you will  nd this training relevant in starting or enriching your lean journey.\n\nTRAINING OVERVIEW\n\nContinuous improvement is vital to the success of many organizations. Whether in business\, manufacturing or healthcare\, today's workforce and management need to be equipped with the knowledge and skills provided in lean thinking. The core idea is to maximize customer value and minimize waste. Lean means creating more value for customers with fewer resources and it applies in every business and every process. It is a way of effectively doing business for an entire organization.\n\nThe course will teach the importance of de ning a lean framework and understanding lean transformation.\n\nCOURSE DETAILS\n\nIvy Tech's certified trainers will teach this course.  A certi cation exam is administered at the end of the course\, and those who pass this exam with a score of 80% or higher will earn an Ivy Tech Lean Certi cation. \n\nHOW TO ENROLL\n\nIvy Tech and the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce welcome you to Lean Training. Training will be held in two sessions\, May 13 and May 20.  The certification exam will be conducted at the end of the May 20 class.  Training will be held at the Columbus Learning Center\, 4555 Central Ave.\, Columbus 47203\, in room 2205.  Training will begin at 8:00 a.m.and will end at 3:30 p.m. each day.
